Irma Adams Warburton graduated from this earthly existence on July 12, 2014 in Rigby, Idaho. She was born January 6, 1930 in East Garland, Utah, to Delos Eldon and Angeline Maria Christensen Adams, third of five children. She grew up in Tremonton and graduated from Bear River High in 1948. She earned her Golden Gleaner Award from the MIA.

She worked as an office manager in Tremonton after high school and was thrilled to receive a mission call to the Great Lakes Mission 1953-1954. She developed eternal friendships with many there and has kept in touch for over 60 years.

She married Reese Dewey Warburton in the Logan LDS Temple on October 28, 1955. Six children were born to this union. She and Reese raised their family in Grouse Creek, Utah and were wonderful examples to their children of hard work, integrity, and testimony. She was happy all of her children served honorable missions. In 1986 they relocated to Cache Valley.

She dreamed of a college education to become a teacher, but said she graduated from the School of Hard Knocks; however, she and Reese made sure their children received college degrees. She worked as a teacher's aide at the Grouse Creek School and cherished the time spent with the students. She was thrilled to graduate from LDS Institute at USU at age 68. She loved people; Reese said the whole world was her friend.

She was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and accepted many callings through the years. She leaves a legacy of love, service, and commitment to her family, friends, and church.

She is survived by her loving husband, Reese; children and spouses Sherisse and Darrell Meier, Carolyn and Ted Wood, Jeff and Cindy Warburton, Chris and Audra Warburton, Rosemary and Brent Daines; 23 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; brothers and spouses, Dee and Yvonne Adams and Gary and Donna Adams; sister, Pat Bourne; sister-in-law, Doris Adams; and beloved nieces and nephews. She was also grandma to a long list of adopted college students and their families.

She is preceded in death by a stillborn son; parents; brother, Vern; brother-in-law, Don Bourne; and sister-in-laws, Lou and Betty.

A viewing will be held on Friday, July 18, 2014 from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. as well as Saturday, July 19, 2014 from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the Logan Utah Mount Logan Stake Center, 565 East 100 South, Logan, Utah. A celebration of her life will be held on Saturday, July 19, 2014 at 11 a.m. at the same location. Interment will follow at the East Garland Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the LDS Church missionary fund, or do something nice for someone in Irma's remembrance.
