Mary Mims Hill, 84, of Moncks Corner, widow of Ernest Hill, Jr., passed away Monday at her residence.

Mrs. Hill was born October 26, 1929, at Moncks Corner, a daughter of Joseph Clarence Mims and Catherine Roberta Sweatman Mims.

She was a graduate of Berkeley High School and a member of First Baptist Church of Moncks Corner.

Surviving are a son – David C. Hill and his wife, Janet, of Greenville; 2 daughters – Karen E. Hill of Moncks Corner; and Cathy H. Law and her husband, Bud, of Moncks Corner; 3 brothers – Watson J. Mims and his wife, Patsy, of Oakley; George R. Mims of Moncks Corner; and Donald E. Mims and his wife, Carolyn, of Murrells Inlet; 2 sisters – Roberta M. McNeill and her husband, Charles, of Moncks Corner; and Margaret M. Fletcher and her husband, Billy, of Pinopolis; 6 grandchildren – Kari Hunt; Diane Wean and her husband, Scott; Jeff Law; Brad Law and his wife, Whitney; Catherine Hill Hyman; Amy Hill Hyman; and 3 great grandchildren – Logan Knight; Brandon Law and Mikayla Wean. She was predeceased by her brothers – Clarence Aimar Mims and Harry Sinclair Mims.

Her graveside funeral service will be held at 11 o'clock Wednesday morning, July 16, 2014, in St. John's Baptist Church Cemetery in Pinopolis, directed by RUSSELL FUNERAL CHAPEL, Moncks Corner. The family will receive friends for an hour prior to the service.
