Bobby Royce "Bo" Ellerbee, 57, passed from this life on Friday, July
11, 2014, in Plano, TX. Bo was born December 13, 1956 to Royce "Sam" and
Anita (Morrison) Ellerbee at Jackson County Memorial Hospital in Altus, OK.

Bo Graduated from Altus High School in 1976. He continued his education at
Western Oklahoma State College. Bo started working for United Supermarket in
Altus at the age of 16. He was later promoted to a management position in
Frederick, OK. Bo became employed with GTE in Frederick, OK in 1981. In 1984
He transferred to Plano, TX. GTE sold out to Verizon and Bo continued his
career with them until his retirement in 2014.

Bo enjoyed automobiles and was especially fond of his 1995 Chevrolet pickup
and tirelessly kept it in cherry condition. His love of vehicles started
when he purchased his first prized possession, a 1969 Chevelle. At one time
Bo was buying and selling automobiles as a hobby. Bo was also a big time
jokester, always pulling pranks on family, friends and co-workers. You never
knew what he might be plotting.

Bo loved hunting and fishing, especially in Georgia where the Ellerbees
originated. He would travel to Georgia and go hunting with his family there.
They would also enjoy camping and water-skiing on the Flint River where he
became a very good slalom skier and beach hopper. But the best part of Bo's
time spent in Georgia was being with his "big" little brother, Buddy, and
his dad.

The light of Bo's life was his son, Jared. Bo was an exceptional dad and
enjoyed every aspect of raising his son. Then Jared blessed Bo with a
grandson, Jaden, and Bo has a new light in his life!

From the day Bo became a grandfather, his life took on a new direction. He
was delighted, joyful and proud of every minute spent with Jaden.

Bo was diagnosed with Diabetes at the age of 14, and although faced with
many medical challenges related to his diabetes, he remained optimistic and
up-beat to the very end of his life. In 1994 Bo received a life-changing
gift, a kidney, from his mother, who has been by his side through the many
challenges that Bo faced for the past eight years, Bo was a loving,
compassionate, non-confrontational man. He lived his life always taking
others in consideration before himself, and he never complained about
anything.

Bo is survived by his mother, Anita Ellerbee, Altus, OK, his father, Sam
Ellerbee and wife Jan of Albany, GA, son Jared and his grandson Jaden of
Allen, TX brother Buddy Ellerbee of Sylvester, GA , nephews Brandon and Will
of Sylvester, Ga, and many other beloved family and friends.

In lieu of flowers, Bo's family has requested donations be made on behalf of
Bo Ellerbee to First National Bank, Altus, OK in a fund that has been
established for diabetic patients and kidney transplant recipients in need
in the future.
