OBITUARY; Violet Mae (Lane) Drenning, 84, of the Village at Morrisons Cove, formerly of Saxton, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, July 12, 2014 at the Village. Born in Robertsdale, PA on October 18, 1929, a daughter of the late Hulda M. (Swope) and Charles F. Lane. She was united in marriage to Arthur Ray Drenning on October 9, 1953, Mr. Drenning preceded in death on October 5, 2013. She was a member of Robertsdale Church of God where she was active as a Sunday School Teacher, Choir Member, and the Women's Group Ministry, and she was a primarily Homemaker and enjoyed baking and was known for her bread. She survived by three daughters, Brenda, wife of Stanley Palmer, of McConnellsburg, PA; Norma, wife of Jim Shilling, of New Bethlehem, PA; Cynthia, wife of Gary Chamberlain, of Six Mile Run, PA; and two sons Jerry, husband of Carol Altobelli, of Distant, PA; Warren Drenning, of Wood, PA; and a sister, Shirley Ruble, of Baltimore, MD. She is also survived by 17 Grandchildren, 30 Great Grandchildren, and 6 Great Great Grandchildren. She was preceded in death by sons, Arthur "Pee Wee" Drenning Jr., and Harlon Drenning, Brothers, Dean, Norman, Jack, Dick, and Glenn Lane, and sisters, Queen Locke, Vera Doyle, Maxine Guthridge, and Mildred Lane. Friends will be received on Tuesday 12-2 PM at the Robertsdale Church of God. Funeral Services will be held at the Robertsdale Church of God, Robertsdale, PA. at 2 PM on Tuesday, July 15th, with Pastor Nathan Starr officiating. Interment at I.O.O.F. Cemetery Broad Top City, PA. If Donors so choose, donations can be made in Violets Memory Robertsdale Church of God P.O. Box 38 Robertsdale, PA 16674.
