Cecil Monroe Cupp Sr., 74, of 89 Ridge Road, Bamberg, died Wednesday, July 28, 2004, at his residence following a brief illness.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, July 30, at Cooner Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. Thomas Brookshire officiating.
He was born July 1, 1930, in Washington, Okla., a son of the late Lee Herman Cupp and the late Lillian Druie Massey Cupp. Mr. Cupp was of the Mormon faith. He retired from the heating and air conditioning business and enjoyed genealogy and collecting things. He was an avid Braves and Cubs baseball fan.
Survivors include two brothers, Carl Cupp and Bill Cupp; one sister, Nadine Cathy; children, Loraine C. Axson, Cecil M. Cupp Jr., Ralph B. Cupp, Tommy Lee Cupp, Debbie Jean Linley, Reba Ann Canady and Marty Carroll; 15 grandchildren; and 27 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 4 to 5 p.m., Thursday, at Cooner Funeral Home in Bamberg.
