Services for George F Fick Sr. 64 of 205 N. Mill St. Birdsboro, will be Friday at 11 am. The Rev. C David Godshall will officiate in the Shalkop funeral Home, Birdsboro. Burial will be made in Forest Hills Memorial Park, Reiffton. Fick died Monday afternoon at the American Legion Home Ambulance headquarters, Birdsboro where he was stricken while watching his son David M Chop firewood. Born in Blandon he was the son of the late William J and Katie Eschbach Fick. He was an Army Veteran of WW11 and had been employed by the Birdsboro Corp. for 38 years and prior to retireing in 1977, worked for the Swift Dairy and Poultry Co., Birdsboro. Surviving in addition to his son, are his wife, Mildred C (Buck) Fick; three other sons; George F. Jr. Houston, TX and John B and H. Leslie both of Birdsboro; seven grandchildren. Also a sister Edna, wife of Edward H. Emery Sr. Birdsoro; Two brothers John L And William J; a stepsister Sarah wife of Cyrus long, and three half sisters; Helen Snyder, Mabel widow of Leonard Noecker, and Marion wife of John Miller.
