Doris L. Leigh, 75 years of age, passed away Thursday July 10, 2014 at The Woodlands in Ravenna, Ohio. Born on October 10, 1938 in Sistersville, West Virginia, she was the daughter of the late Homer and Olive ( Richeson ) Judge. Living in Ravenna since 2007, Doris formerly was a longtime resident of Windham and Randolph, and was employed as a teacher's aide at the Windham Schools for several years. Doris was a member of the United Methodist Church of Randolph, the Ravenna and Randolph Senior Center and the Ravenna Red Hat Society. While she enjoyed knitting, reading and walking, she will forever be remembered for the love she had spending time with her family and cherished grandchildren. Survivors include her children Mick Leigh of Stow, James ( Lori ) Leigh of Tallmadge and Robert ( Kim ) Leigh, Jr. of Newton Falls, her brothers Norman Judge of Newton Falls, Carl Judge of Garrettsville, sisters Velma Read of Garrettsville, Patty Bosma of Ravenna, Dolly Miller and Sandra Carroll both of Newton Falls and Helen ( Don ) Lawless of Westerville, Ohio, 5 grandchildren Greg, Amanda, Justin, Erick and Nathan. Preceding her in death was her sister Beverly Judge. Calling hours will be Monday 6:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m. at the Green Family Funeral Home & Crematory Service in Mantua, where her funeral services will be held Tuesday July 15, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Don Booth officiating. Doris will be laid to rest at Fairview Cemetery in Hiram, Ohio. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the Hospice & Visiting Nurse of Robinson Memorial Hospital.
