Janice ''Jan'' Kay Parks, 63, of Springfield, and Fort Myers, Fla., died at 12:41 a.m. Feb. 1, 2006, at Health Park Medical Center, Fort Myers, Fla.

She was born Nov. 11, 1942, in Lincoln, the daughter of Matthew and Eleanor Lenz Wertin. She married Roby Parks in 1971 in Springfield.

Mrs. Parks was a secretary for the state of Illinois from 1960 until she retired from the Bureau of the Budget in 1991. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Lincoln.

She was survived by her husband and father.
