Aaron "Jelly" Bengtson, 31 of Mauston, died as a result of a motor vehicle accident on Thursday, Oct. 25, 2007. He was born on Aug. 20, 1976, in Hillsboro, the son of Marvin and Barbara (nee
Peterson) Bengtson. He loved to cook, hunt, travel, go camping and he was especially fond of fishing. Aaron was a generous person with a large heart and a soft spot for people in need. He was involved in sports programs with kids, enjoyed watching the Brewers and Packers and enjoyed throwing darts.
He is survived by his parents, Marvin and Barbara Bengtson of Mauston; brother and sisters, Justin Bengtson of Wonewoc, Jenna Bengtson of Reedsburg and Emily Bengtson of Mauston; special friend, Amy Sobeck of Wonewoc; grandmothers, Janet Bengtson of Wonewoc and Donna Stage of Wonewoc; aunts and uncles, Carol and Chris Harris of Hillsboro, Tyson and Sherry Bengtson of Wonewoc and Cheryl and Joseph Register of North Carolina; nieces, nephews, great aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Marvin O. Bengtson, Lawrence Peterson and Frank Stage.
Funeral services were conducted on Monday, Oct. 29, 2007, at 11 a.m. in the Thompson Funeral Home in Wonewoc with Pastor Peter Bergeson officiating.
