STARCHER, Henry,
Co. A, 3rd Virginia State Line (Moccasin Rangers). Enlisted on 15 July 1861 in Calhoun Co., Va. No status stated on 28 Feb. 1862 roll, but present on 28 Feb. 1863. Taken prisoner on 13 Apr. 1863 and sent to Wheeling. Then age 21, 5' 10-1/2", light complexion, blue eyes, light hair, occupation, farmer, resident of Calhoun Co., Va. Exchanged at City Point, Va. on 13 May 1863. Private, Co. A, 19th Virginia Cavalry. Born Webster Co., W.Va., 1834. Post war rosters only, which show service from 1861 to 1865. Died 16 Mar. 1915.
