"Mrs. Nancy Wardlow Garner (Gardner), 83, died Saturday, July 30, in the Community Hospital, Fairfax.
The daughter of Samuel H. and Rosetta Napier Burgess, she was born April 24, 1901, in Maitland and lived there most of her life, with the exception of five years in Forest City. She moved to a care center in Tarkio in August, 1983.
On April 24, 1919, she was married to John Wardlow, Savannah, who preceded her in death in 1951.
On January 25, 1968, she married Roy Garner (Gardner) in Oregon. He died in 1973.
Four brothers, and two sisters preceded her in death.
Mr. Garner (Gardner) is survived by three daughters, Lorene Peterson, Almont, N.D., Carol Egbert, Tarkio, and Berneta Green, Forest City; one son, Doyle Wardlow, Maryville; two sisters, Vivian Davis, Savannah, and Lillie Perry, Mound City; 15 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren.
Services were at 2 p.m. Tuesday, July 3, in the Davis Funeral Home, Tarkio, with the Rev. J. Michael Walker officiating. Burial was in the Maitland Cemetery."
