Pierre, Erick W. WATERFORD Erick W. Pierre, 32, died December 20, 2006 at St. Mary's Hospital, Troy, after being stricken at home. Born in Troy, he had lived in Cohoes most of his life and was the son of the late Leo and Carole Fonda Pierre. He had graduated from Cohoes High and attended Schenectady Community College Criminal Justice Program. He had worked at NAPA for several years and was currently employed at Fleetpride in Albany. Erick enjoyed spending time at his camp in Schroon Lake and loved to travel, venturing overseas to Europe and to the Caribbean. He loved animals and children, to whom he was fondly known as Jungle Jim. Erick possessed a wonderful sense of humor and a contagious laugh. He will be missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him. Survivors include his high school sweetheart and fiancee of 14 years, Tanya Duquette. He was brother of Darlene Neilson, Wayne Pierre, Tammy Lussier, Carole Blide, Joseph Pierre, Doug Pierre Sr., Corey Pierre, Heidi Pierre, Bryan Pierre Sr., Randy Pierre Sr. and Jarrod Pierre. He was god father to Randy Pierre II. Also survived by many beloved nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 10 a.m. from the Marra Funeral Home, corner of Remsen and Columbia St's., Cohoes with Pastor Nick TeBordo officiating. Interment will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Waterford. Calling hours will be Wednesday from 5-9 p.m. Members of the Schenectady Fire Department will meet at the funeral home Wednesday at 7 p.m.
