Gladys V. Stewart, 82, an Elmwood resident for many years, died Monday, Jan. 13, 1992, at Proctor Community Hospital in Peoria.
Born July 30, 1909, near Edelstein to Joseph M. and Bessie King Stenger, she married Ralph Hall on July 10, 1937, in Missouri. She later married Charles C. Stewart on Nov. 8, 1952, in Brimfield. He died Sept. 20, 1966. She also was preceded in death by one sister.
Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Edward (Nancy) Rushing of Elmwood; and one son, Stephen A. Stewart of rural Brimfield.
She taught school in rural schools in Peoria County for 33 years, retiring in 1971.
Burial will be in Swan Lake Memory Gardens in Peoria.
