DEATH OF EDW. BECHTOLD
Edward C. Bechtold died this morning at 6:30 o'clock at the home of his mother, Mrs. William Bechtold, 118 Broad street. The immediate cause of death was congestion of the lungs. For the past three years Mr. Bechtold had been a resident of Philadelphia, and he had been in ill health for some time. A few weeks ago his condition became so serious that he was brought to the home of his mother, in this city, where he passed away this morning. He was 35 years of age, having been born in this city and having spent the greater part of his life here. Besides his mother, two sisters survive - Mrs. Charles C. Garrison, of this city, and Mrs. Livy S. Richard, of Rochester, N.Y. The funeral will be held on Monday at 2:30 p.m., with services at the family home. Interment in Pittston cemetery.
Note: Interesting that his death certificate says he's Married but there's no mention of a wife in his obituary.
