He was the son of Gideon and Minnie Lang Ellis. He married Anna Margaret Luisa Stark on January 28, 1914 in the Scranton Courthouse.

G. Frank Ellis, 93, of Wesley Village, formerly of West Pittston, died Sunday evening in Wesley Village, Jenkins Twp. His wife, the former Margaret Stark, died in March 1966.
Born in Dunmore, son of the late Gideon and Minnie Lang Ellis, he was a retired employee of Glen Alden Coal Co.
Surviving are a son, the Rev. Franklin Ellis, Oregon and Arizona; two daughters, Mrs. Florence Soricelli, Pittsburgh, and Mrs. June Soricelli, Coatesville, Chester County.
The funeral will be conducted Thursday at 1 p.m. from the Miller Bean Funeral Home, 436 Cedar Ave., with services by the Rev. James Marsh, pastor, Dunmore Presbyterian Church. Interment, Dunmore Cemetery.
Viewing, Wednesday, 7 to 9 p.m.
