Adelene M. "Addie" Colegrove, 82, of 158 W. State St., Wellsville, died Tuesday (April 4, 2000) at Jones Memorial Hospital after a brief illness.

Born Feb. 3, 1918, in Wellsville, she was a daughter of Clarence and Lillian Hartung Miller.

On Oct. 25, 1938, in Wellsville, she married Wendell X. Colegrove, who died Feb. 21, 1991.

Mrs. Colegrove was a life long resident of Wellsville and a graduate of Wellsville High School. She was employed for over 20 years in the Wellsville High School Cafeteria.

She also worked at the polls for the Board of Election for many years. She was a member of the Immaculate Conception Church in Wellsville. She was a charter member of the Beta Sigma Phi Sorority, Exemplar Pi Chapter, where she held the second longest continuing membership. She was a member of the Jones Memorial Hospital Holly Twig and the Wellsville Couples Club.

Surviving are three sons, Tom (Linda) Colegrove of Wellsville, Jim (Gail) Colegrove of Allegany and Rollie (Mary Ann) Colegrove of Porterville, Calif., four daughters, Pat (Dick) Welch of Geneseo, Mary Hopkins and Marg McEnroe, both of Wellsville and Barb (Kevin) Rowe of Australia; 18 grandchildren; 12 Great-grandchildren; two brothers, Ronald (Polly) Miller of Belmont and Jack (Marian) Miller of Mobile, Alabama.; three sisters-in-law, Tina Miller of Wellsville, Doris Winterhalter of Belmont and Shirley Miller of Vermont.

In addition to her husband Mrs. Colegrove was predeceased by three brothers, Kenneth Miller, Malcolm Miller and James Miller; and a sister, Barbara Arnold.

Friends called Friday (April 7, 2000) from 2 to 4p.m. and 7 to 9p.m. and Saturday (April 8, 2000) from 10 to 1030 a.m. in the J.W. Ember Sons Funeral Home Inc. in Wellsville.

A Mass of Christian Burial was held Saturday (April 8,2000) at 11 a.m. in the Immaculate Conception Church in Wellsville. The Rev. Dennis Wolf was celebrant.

Burial was in Woodlawn Cemetery in Wellsville.

Memorials may be made to the David A. Howe Library in Wellsville, the Immaculate Conception Church or to a charity of the donor's choice.
