FREDERICK FARBER, SR.
Frederick Farber, Sr., of 1327 Ash street, who has been in a serious condition for the past three weeks with illness caused by paralysis, died yesterday morning at 8:30 o'clock, at the age of seventy-three years. The deceased was a member of the Union Lodge of the Masonic order, of this city, and the Fairview Lodge, No. 369, Knights of Pythias, No. 369, of East Scranton. He was a carpenter by trade, being employed by the Lackawanna Iron and Steel company for forty years. Several years ago he retired. He also was an active member of St. Peter's German Lutheran Church, Prescott avenue and Ash street, and it was not until several years ago that old age and ill health prevented him from attending his church duties. He was the father of the following children: George, of Bethlehem; Joseph, of Pittsburgh; Fred and Louis of this city; Mrs. William Robertson, of Forty Fort, Pa., and Mrs. Charles Eisle, of Flint, Mich., and one sister, Mrs. Louis Price. The funeral is to take place on Monday afternoon from the family residence, 1327 Ash street, with Rev. Paul Kummer, pastor of the St. Peter's German Lutheran church, officiating. Interment will be made in Dunmore cemetery.
