Michael E. Ackley, 28, of 1224 Pangola Dr., Jacksonville, Fla. died early Tuesday morning at Jacksonville. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Urbanek and Schlei Funeral Home, Manitowoc. Major Oliver Poling of the Salvation Army will conduct the service with burial in Knollwood Memorial Gardens, Town of Kossuth.

Mr. Ackley was born May 27, 1948, at Wichita, Kans., son of Billy Joe and Evelyn Macki Ackley. He moved to Manitowoc with his parents in 1951, attending local schools and graduating from Lincoln High School in 1966. He married Cythia Dec. 2, 1966, at Manitowoc. He had been employed at Manitowoc Grey Iron Foundry Inc., while living at Manitowoc. He and his family moved to Florida in 1973, where he was employed at Trend Co. in Jacksonville. Mr. Ackley was a member of International Assn. of Machinists and Aero Space Workers and International Molders and Allied Workers Union.

Survivors include his wife, two sons and a daughter (Survivors omitted for privacy.) at home; his parents, of Rt. 2, Manitowoc; four brothers and three sisters (Survivors omitted for privacy.) His grandparents, and two brothers, Steven and Brian preceded him in death.

Friends may call at Urbanek and Schlei Funeral Home from 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday and Monday until the time of service.
