John Duncan Dies In Hospital In Martinez
"John Duncan of Clayton is dead at the county hospital following an illness that has made him almost an invalid for the past few years.

John Duncan was a native of Benecia and was aged 60 years and 6 months. He had ben a resident of this county since early boyhood and was well known throughout Concord and the Clayton section of the county.

To mourn his death he leaves a mother, Mrs. Jane McGuire of Clayton, a wife and four daughters, Mrs. Charles Frank, Mrs. James Fanchez, Ethel and Gertrude Duncan of Clayton, and a son William Duncan of Berkley; four sisters Mrs. Ed Williams of Oakland, Mrs. H.T. Shock of Berkley, Mrs. William Lewis of Nevada City and Mrs. Franz Hebeisn of Clayton, Henry and Frank McGuire are half-brothers."
