On Sunday, December 16, 2012, Deon A. Bailey was reunited with her husband and loved ones in heaven. Born April 15, 1933 to Gwen and Archie Andersen, she was the youngest of five children and grew up in Salt Lake City.
She married Wallace C. Bailey in 1954 and they had four children together while living in Holladay, Utah and Las Vegas before settling in Bountiful, Utah.
She was a faithful member of the LDS church and enjoyed serving in many callings over the years. She had a great love for the temple and spending time with her family. She also appreciated music, literature and traveling.
She is survived by her sister, Jane A. Soderberg and her children Merrill W. Bailey (Jan), Stanton A. Bailey (Sally), Ellen Bailey Henry (Bob), Phillip Clark Bailey (Linda), 18 grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Wally.
The family would like to thank Deon's wonderful friends and neighbors who have watched over her for many years.
Funeral services will be held Friday, December 21st at 11:00 a.m. at the LDS Chapel at 455 South 1200 East. A viewing will be held Thursday, December 20th from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Russon Brothers Mortuary, 295 North Main Street, Bountiful
