Obituary for Clair Leonard:

Clair Leonard, 79, died Saturday, April 14, 1990 in Sandy, Utah.

He was born January 25, 1911 in Price, Utah, son of Leopold and Zoe Ellen Powell Leonard. He married Blanche Ellison December 9, 1929 in Castle Dale, Utah; solemnized December 11, 1940 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. She died March 12, 1983 after being taken care of by Clair for many years.He attended Price Jr. High and Carbon High School. During his teens, he liked playing in the band with his father.

He has served as Sunday School Suprintendent, member of the Elders Quorum Presidency, teacher of both Elders Quorum and Seventies, High Priest Secretary, Stake Auditor, and on the Stake Sunday School Board.

He worked for Safeway as manager of the meat dept., he owned and operated Peay's Meat Market in Springville, and then worked for several years for Allen's Super Markets. He has lived in Salt Lake, Park City and Provo.

Survived by two sons and two daughters, 15 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; five brothers and sister.

Funeral services 11 a.m., Wednesday, April 18, 1990, Berg Drawing Room Chapel, 185 East Center, Provo, where friends may call Tuesday, 6-8 p.m. and one hour prior to services. Interment, Salem Cemetery.
