Mrs. Bertha Votaw, Former Lodian, Dies
Mrs. Bertha Lillian Votaw, former resident of Lodi, passed away at her home, 1045 Edison Street, Stockton, Tuesday morning following a long illness. She was 81 years old.
Mrs. Votaw, a native of Amador County, came to Lodi in 1925 and resided here until a year ago when she moved to Stockton. She was the widow of the late Austine Votaw, who passed away here in 1933 and the mother of the late Clarence E. Votaw and Elvin R. Votaw.
Mrs. Votaw leaves four daughters, Mrs. Myrtle Howeth, Mrs. Jessie Gomond, Mrs. Ruth A. Sios and Mrs. Vira Coil. She is also survived by a sister, Mrs. May West of Visalia.
Survivors include six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Interment in family plot in Lodi Cemetery.
