The last surviving of seven children, he was born May 14, 1924 in Waterville, Maine to the late Odilon and Marie (Bolduc) Gagne.
Mr. Gagne served proudly with the U.S. Army during World War II and was a member of the Army Navy Club in Manchester.
He was a carpenter for Pratt & Whitney for thirty-six years before his retirement.
He leaves seven children, Mary Wroblenski of San Bernardino, California; Joseph and wife, Denise, of Clay, New York; John and wife, Jian, of East Brunswick, New Jersey; Julianna Lennox and husband, Michael, of Mico, Texas; William and wife, Kathryn, of East Hartford, Andrew and wife, Patricia, of Colchester; and Rebekah Gagne of Auburn, New York; thirteen grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and numerous extended family members and friends.
The family will receive guests from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Thursday (July 10, 2014) at Aurora-McCarthy Funeral Home, 167 Old Hartford Road, Colchester. A chapel service will be observed at 7:00 p.m.
Burial with full military honors accorded in the Marlborough Cemetery will be private.
