A native of Haywood County, he was the son of the late Kenneth Early and Edna Swanger Browning. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by two brothers, William "Blue" and Virgil Browning and a sister, Geraldine Ford. He was a U.S. Army veteran. Churn was an avid fisherman and bear hunter.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 12, 2014 in the Canton Chapel of Wells Funeral Home with Reverend Michael Horton officiating. Burial will follow at Buchanan Cemetery.
