George T. Sherman, 102, of Cameron, died Feb. 11, at Cameron Nursing Home. Funeral services were Feb. 20 at First Baptist Church in Cameron with the Revs. Charles Moody, as eulogist, and Willie Whitfield, officiate. Interment followed at Provident Cemetery in Branchville.
Mr. Sherman was born Aug. 4, 1907, and was the youngest of two children born to George T. and Eva Polk Sherman. He received his formal education in Branchville.
George accepted Jesus as his personnel Savior at an early age and united with Sweet Home AME Church in Branchville. He later united with Little River Baptist Church, where he was a faithful member for many years and then to Jerusalem Baptist Church in Cameron
