Gladstone George Brown passed away peacefully Friday morning, July 4, 2014 at the age of 67 years at his home in Ocala, Florida after a 7-year battle with bone cancer.

He was born in the district of York Street, St. Catherine Jamaica on October 6, 1946 to the late Samuel and Anita Brown. As a young adult Gladstone attended an Apprentice School where he studied to be an Auto Mechanic/Technician. Prior to migrating to the United States in 1980, Gladstone Brown married the love of his life Winsome J. McCatty February of 1972. He later migrated his family to the US in 1990 where he settled in Brooklyn, NY for 21 years. After living in Brooklyn NY Gladstone later moved to Ocala, Fl. where he resided with his wife.

He was preceded in death by his brothers, Dag and Walter; sisters, Madeline, Bobbsie and Olive.

Gladstone is survived by his wife of 42 years, Winsome; sons, Donald, Beshen; daughters, Lluma, Heather, Ann-Marie; grandson, Emmanuel, Donald II (jr); granddaughters, Ashleigh, Abigail, Heidi, Dyahne, Anaya and Zoe; Brothers, Albert, Harold, Jerry, Roy; Nieces, grand nieces, nephews and grand nephews.

Gladstone had a lifelong love and career working on automobiles and being an auto mechanic. Before leaving Jamaica he worked as a mechanic for many years at Kingston Industrial Garage, he then spent most of his mechanic career in the United States working for AUDI dealerships "Audi Manhattan" and "Zumbach".

Gladstone was always a huge proponent of giving back to family and his community as much as humanly possible. He was able to extend this drive to the York St. community when he served as Vice President of the York Street Past Students Association Inc./New York Chapter.

Gladstone Brown loved his family (immediate and extended), he enjoyed his family members, nieces and nephews and did all he could to progress them forward. He loved serving the Lord and grew to understand and accept the Lords ‘will' for his life.
