Funeral services for James Allen Whiteley, age 71, of Jacksonville, are scheduled for 10:00 a.m. Thursday, July 10, 2014 at Autry Funeral Home Chapel in Jacksonville with Pastor Thurman Whiteley officiating. Interment will be at Union Grove Cemetery in Jacksonville.

Mr. Whiteley passed away Sunday, July 6, 2014 in Jacksonville.

He was born June 15, 1943 in Crockett to Clarence Edward, Sr. and Georgia Whiteley.

James worked as a forklift operator for Maxwell Lumber Co. and was a member of Emmanuel Baptist church in Jacksonville.

He was preceded in death by his parents Clarence and Georgia Whiteley, sisters Mildred "Monk" Gray and Ethel Inez Sharp, brothers Vernon "Zeke" Whiteley and Travis Whiteley.

Survivors include his wife Delorise Whiteley, sons Roy Pemberton and wife Rebecca, Jerry Don Whitely and wife Cathy and Jamie Whiteley and wife Susan all of Jacksonville, daughter Traci Logsdon and husband Rusty of Frankston, brothers Thurman Whiteley and wife Jo of Cedar Park, Kenneth Whiteley of Kilgore and Junior Whiteley and wife Carolyn of Jacksonville, sisters Jerry Hamilton and husband Jess of Jacksonville and Mary Ann Netron of Tyler, twelve grandchildren, sixteen great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Marshal Duane Whiteley, Lee Charles Robinson, Michael Wayne Sexton, Donald Starling, Larry Gray and C.L. Hickman.

Visitation will begin on Wednesday July 9, 2014 with family receiving friends from 6-8p.m. at Autry Funeral Home in Jacksonville.
