Letha Mae Morehead, 75 of Mendenhall, MS, died Sunday, July 6, 2014 at University Medical Center in Jackson, MS. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother who never met a stranger. Always with open arms she instantly loved everyone she came upon. She loved watching wrestling and cops on tv and playing dominos. She loved spending time with family and friends and she will truly be missed.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., on Thursday, July 10, 2014 at D'Lo Methodist Church in D'Lo, MS. Burial will be in D'Lo City Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Wednesday June 9, at Colonial Chapel in Mendenhall. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Mendenhall MS is in charge of arrangements.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James Wagner "Slim" Morehead; parents, James Vernon Cliburn and Corain Welch Cliburn; sister, Louise Ray; brother, John Cliburn and great grandchild, Jacob Channing Phillipson.

Survivors include her daughter, Mary Lively(Michael) of Mendenhall; sons, Charles Morehead (Tina) of Pegram,TN, James Morehead (Cathy)of D'Lo, and George Morehead of Mendenhall; grandchildren, Michelle Tuggle, Jeffery Phillipson (Lisa), Robby Phillipson (Carlie), Kim Morehead, Kristyn Wilson (Michael), Katie Telford (Dustin); 11 great-grandchildren, one great-great grandchild; sisters, Mary Lou Hughes, Ida Jean Fulton, Diane Cliburn, and Tammy Cliburn; brother, James Ray Cliburn; a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Pallbearers will be Doug Smith, Jeffery Phillipson, Austin Morehead, Dustin Telford, Donovan Hays and Doyle Smith.

Honorary pallbearers will be Robby Phillipson, Michael Wilson.
