FRED BLOHM, CASTLE GROVE
Funeral services will be held for Fred Blohn, 70, Thursday, June 26, at 2 p.m.at SS. Peter and Paul Lutheran church. Castle Grove Rev. Richard Zellmer will officiate and burial will be in Prairie Hill cemetery. Mr. Blohm died suddenly at his home Monday, June 23, at 5 a.m.
He was born Jan. 20, 1888, the son of Ferd and Kathryn Blohm at Husum, Germany. He came to the United States in 1909 and moved to Hale township and then to the Center Junction area. He married Sophie Christiansen, who came from Germany shortly after Mr. Blohm. She died in 1936. He married Edith Monk later.
He is survived by one son, Marvin of Center Junction: four daughters, (Mrs. Norman (Frieda) Martensen, Mrs. Paul (Ella) Brokaw, Luciel and Velma; two sisters, Mrs. Frieda Ketelsen and Mrs. Hertha Lorenzen, both of Germany and five grandchildren. One son, Ernest preceded him in death
