Neely Irene Anderson Harwell, 94, passed away July 7, 2014 at her home in Moss Point , MS. She was born March 31, 1920 in Clarke County, MS, daughter of the late Luther Calvin Anderson and Katherine Blackwell Anderson. Her husband John E. Harwell preceded her in death. They moved to Jackson County in 1951 where she worked as a nurse for Dr. L.O. Stewart and for Singing River Hospital.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her sisters Olis Dearman, Hazel Cooper, Christine Buckalew, Ruby Anderson, and Josephine Rutledge and by her only brother Luther Leon Anderson.
She was survived by her sons and their wives, Wayne and Linda Jean Harwell and Fonda and Patty Harwell; her grandchildren and their spouses Karen and John Mayer, Holley Harwell, Mitchell Harwell, Michael and Lisa Harwell, Anne and Neil Pifer; and by seven great grandchildren. Her sister-in-law Johnie Rue Anderson also survived her.
