"Mrs. Herbert Chesebro, 95, a pioneer resident of the community, died at 3:30 a.m. today at Sunny Ridge, where she had been living for about a year. She was the mother of Robert F. Chesebro, president of Wigwam Mills, Inc. The former Jennie Rummele, she was born in Glenbeulah on Nov. 17, 1867, the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. E. H. Rummele. She was married to Herbert Chesebro in 1897. He died June 10, 1932. Mrs. Chesebro was a member of the First Congregational Church, a former member of The King's Daughters and the St. Elizabeth Circle and formerly belonged to one of the chapters, now disbanded. She was also associated with Our Girls Club, a group formed in the 1900s, and was the last living member of the group. Surviving are one son, Robert; one sister, Mrs. William Crocker, Sheboygan; and two grandsons, Robert E. Jr., and James. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the First Congregational Church, with the Rev. Jerald W. Baker, pastor, offi. The body will not lie in state. A memorial fund has been established in Mrs. Chesebro's name for the First Congregational Church."
