— Services for Frances M. Monk, 59, are at 11 a.m., Saturday, June 14, 2008, at the chapel of Clark Funeral Home. The Rev. Jim Weaver and the Rev. Elbert Channell will officiate and interment is in Forest Lawn Cemetery in Cairo. Active pallbearers are Joshua Hatcher, Blake Freeman, Colby Hatcher, Jeffrey Hobbs, Hank Lee, Chris Marsh, Tyler Durant and Jeff Swain. Ms. Monk died Tuesday, June 10 at Pelham Parkway Nursing Home. Born May 7, 1949, in Oak Hill, W.Va., she was a daughter of the late Howard Adrian Marsh Sr. and Leone Gallien Marsh. She was a certified nurse assistant and a member of My Father's House. Survivors include her daughters, Rachelle Stracener (Travis) of Cairo, Tammy Freeman (Tim) of Barwick, Sherry Lewis Sanders (Mark) of Hamilton, Ohio; son, Richard Lewis (Teri) of Thomasville; sisters, Katherine Bouquet of Le Harve, France, Veronica Willis of Thomasville; brothers, Howard A. Marsh, Jr. (Beth) of Tallahassee, Fla., Henry Marsh (Janet) of Springhill, Mo.; 11 grandchildren, Joshua Hatcher, Blake Freeman, Colby Hatcher, Kristina Hale, Jeffrey Hobbs, Harley Stracener, Brandon Cox, Angel Lewis, Johnathan Lewis, Amber Lewis and Skylar Lewis. She was preceded in death by her parents, Howard Adrian and Leone Gallien Marsh Sr.; a husband, Barney Lewis, a stepson Billy Lewis and a grandson, Jamie Freeman. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made toward funeral expenses for Frances M. Monk. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m., Friday at the funeral home.
