Ada L. Selby Passes Away
Mrs. Ada Lau Selby, a long-time resident of Lockeford, passed away yesterday in a Stockton rest home.
A native of Illinois, Mrs. Selby came to the Acampo area in 1922, engaging in farming with her late husband and moved to Lockeford in 1929.
Mrs. Selby is survived by a son, Eugene Beeson of Lockeford, and a daughter, Mrs. Mary Crosthwaite of Stockton; six sisters, Mrs. Flora Sellers, Yuba City; Mrs. Maude Morehouse, Sonoma; Mrs. Nora Clifford and Mrs. Clara Riley, both of San Francisco; Mrs. Louella Boston, Illinois and Mrs. Kate Barber, Oregon. Also surviving are a brother, Perry Lau, San Jose; seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
