Passed on Tuesday June 17, 2014 in his home in Guerneville California at age 79. Preceded in death by his loving wife Dorothy Jeanne Herberg, he is survived by his three sons and in-laws, Russell and Patty Herberg of Salem OR, Mark and Eliza Herberg of Tolleson AZ, Jeff and Lisa Herberg of Guerneville CA, two granddaughters and family, Victoria and Robert Salisbury of Healdsburg CA, Jennifer Herberg, and Alex Neuhaus of Santa Rosa CA, and sister-in-law Harriet George of Simi Valley CA. Ace Herberg was born on August 5, 1934 to parents Peter and Tracy Herberg in Pipestone MN. Graduate of San Bernardino High School in California and worked in the aerospace and machining industries as a manager. Married the love of his life, Dorothy on September 15, 1955 and raised three sons in Simi Valley CA. Later he lived with his family in Rogue River, OR and Litchfield Park AZ, before settling with his youngest son and daughter in-law in Guerneville CA. Ace enjoyed fishing, camping, gardening, traveling and spending time with family and friends. He fought a courageous battle with cancer. Ace was a great husband, father, and friend to many, he will be dearly missed. A celebration of his life is being planned for a future date. .
