Mayme (O'Brien) Jolliffe passed away late Sunday night at the Wisconsin General Hospital, Madison, Wis. where had been a patient the past month. She had been in failing health for several months. Mayme O'Brien was born March 29, 1897, in the township of Troy, the daughter of John and Belle (Wall) O'Brien. She attended the Troy Center School and the Elkhorn High School. She married Richard Jolliffe at her home on Dec. 24, 1919. They had lived in this vicinity since that time, moving to East Troy in 1942. Mrs. Jolliffe was a member of the Congregational Church, the NCC, Vesper Chaoter No. 12 OES, and the Relief Corps until they disbanded. She is survived by her husband, and four daughters: Ardyce (Robert) Von Rueden, East Troy, Vivian, at home, Maribelle (Ellsworth) Thebert, Milwaukee, and Doris (Robert) Sengbush, Asheville, NC.; six grandchildren, a brother, Roy (Frances) O'Brien; a sister, Iva (Robert) Branfort., and other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and an infant daughter Elizabeth. Funeral services were held this afternoon (Thursday) at 2 p.m. from the Congregational Church with the Rev. Robert Benjamin officiating. Burial will be at Evergreen/ Quarterline Cemetery. Eastern Star services were held Wednesday evening at 8 p.m. The Rohleder Memorial Home was in charge.
