Services were conducted by Dr. Randall Sledge at the chapel of Winnsboro First National Funeral Home with burial in the Ogden Cemetery.
Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Hattie Mae Thornhill of Winnsboro; four sons, Huey P. Thornhill Jr., of Duncanville, Tex., Bobby Lynn Thornhill of Shreveport and Roger Thornhill and Johnny Ray Thornhill, both of Liddieville; three daughters, Miss Gladys Thornhill of Liddieville, Mrs. Louise McDaniel of Dallas, Tex., and Mrs. Barbara Ann Williams of Duncanville, Tex., his mother, Mrs. Mary Hammett of Winnsboro; three brothers, W. J. Thornhill of New Orleans and J. Neal Thornhill and Otis Thornhill, both of Winnsboro; three sisters, Mrs. Pauline Castle of Ruston, Mrs. Vera Newson of Winnsboro and Mrs. Sinnie McCarta of Gilbert and two grandchildren.
