When the war broke out he studied at NTH. Served as a volunteer and participated in the fighting at Dirdal.. Came to Fetlar , Shetland Oct 23, 1941. Trained as a pilot in Camp Little Norway, Canada. Served as a fenrik in the 330 Squadron in Skottland. Perished when the Sunderland plane caught fire and crashed northwest of the Faroe Islands. The entire crew perished. None of them were found.
