She was born in Cresson Springs, Pennsylvania. She was married to Donald Cowan McDonald in 1906. They were the parents of Jean McDonald, born West Point, New York on June 23, 1912; Donald C. McDonald Jr. born Fort Adams, Newport County, Rhode Island on December 24, 1914; Nancy McDonald, born Corregidor, Philippine Islands on January 3, 1917 and Mary McDonald born Paris, France on July 4, 1920. Jean was married to Colonel Aubrey K. Dodson; Nancy was married to Lieut. Malcolm A. Burrows and Mary was married to Colonel Walter E. Barker.
