LAURA BELL OQUINN, was born in Pleasant Hope Missouri on March 9, 1915, and departed this life October 31, 2010, in Lebanon, Missouri, at the age of ninety-five years. Laura made a profession of faith in Christ as a young girl and at the time of her death was of the Baptist faith. She lived in Bolivar, Missouri for more then thirty years, until meeting and marrying Jack Allspaw. Laura and Jack were married in 1944, and moved to Lafayette, Indiana, where they remained for thirty-six years. Jack preceded her in death. Laura was a talented seamstress for many years and dedicated her time to being the best employee she could be. She was respected by friends and co-workers for attention to detail and strong work ethic. On October 7, 1996, Laura met and married Lavern Casey Pete OQuinn. Laura and Pete shared seven wonderful years together prior to his passing on November 30, 2002. Laura is survived by her step-son, Charles Scott OQuinn and his wife Debbie of Greenwood, MO; two step-daughters, Vicky Linn House of Lees Summit, MO and Nancy Snow of Lebanon, MO; several nieces and nephews; other relatives and many friends. She was also preceded in death by her parents. Laura will be greatly missed and fondly remembered by all whose lives she touched.
