Employee of Missouri Pacific, Dies at 55
William Campbell Torian of 1206 James died at 6:45 p.m. yesterday at Kennedy Veteran Hospital where he had been a patient since February 12. He was 55.
In poor health for many years, Mr. Torian worked for the past 8 years as a Missouri Pacific Railroad watchman at the Memphis and Arkansas Bridge.
A World War I veteran, he served in France for 22 months as a member of the 115th Field Artillery. Mr. Torian belonged to the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 684 and American Legion.
He was born in Horn Lake, MS, but spent most of his life in Memphis. Mr. Torian was a Baptist.
He leaves his wife, Mrs. Elizabeth Howe Torian of Memphis; a son William A. Torian of Memphis, and two sisters, Mrs. Mollie C. Hickman and Mrs. C. Koellner Smith, both of Memphis.
