JEFFERSON, TEXAS Services for Mrs. Dorothy Mae Silkwood, 59, of Jefferson, will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday January 23 at the Plain Dealing Baptist Church. Dr. Don Doughty will officiate. Burial will follow in the Oak Hill Cemetery near Plain Dealing. Arrangements are under the direction of Bailey Mortuary of Plain Dealing.

She died Thursday Jan. 20, 1983 at Marshall Memorial Hospital in Marshall, Tex. after a sudden illness.

Mrs. Silkwood was a former resident of the Plain Dealing area and had lived in Jefferson for 2 1/2 years. She was Baptist.

She is survived by her husband, James Gordon Silkwood of Jefferson; two daughters, Dorothy Carolyn Hoskins of Jefferson and Patsy Ann Darden of Amarillo, Tex.; two sisters, Minnie Eller of Plain Dealing and Azell Gordon of Baltimore, Md.; two brothers, E.F. Jackson of Bradley, Ark. and James Jackson of Shreveport, La.; three grandchildren.

Pallbearers: nephews.
