Mr. Ports was affiliated with Hanover Aerie 1406, Fraternal Order of Eagles; Hanover Lodge 227, Loyal Order of Moose, and New Oxford Social and Athletic Club.
A native of Carroll County, Md., he was a son of the late William and Ida Reimer Ports. His wife is his only survivor. The Rev. Ray E. Blanset, pastor of St. Marks Lutheran Church, conducted the funeral service today at 11 a.m. at the Wetzel Funeral Home, Hanover. Burial was in Rest Haven Cemetery.
