Bonnie Epps Coonrod, 90, of Denton died Monday, Jan. 23, 2006, in Durant, Okla.

He was born Aug. 2, 1915, in Dallas to Henry Abner and Minnie P. Smith Coonrod. He married Mary Lou Parsley on Jan. 11, 1936, in Farmers Branch. She preceded him in death on Jan. 23, 2002. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II, and attended Cooper Creek Baptist Church. He was a crane operator before his retirement.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 25, at DeBerry Funeral Directors. Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 26, at Cooper Creek Baptist Church with the Rev. Bobby Bryan officiating. Burial will follow at Cooper Creek Cemetery.

He is survived by sons, Bobby Joe Coonrod of Denton and Jackie Ray Coonrod of Bokchito, Okla.; sister, Stella Mae Atkinson of Joshua; four grandsons; and eight great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and many friends. He is preceded in death by a great-granddaughter.

Memorials may be made to Cooper Creek Cemetery Association, 2020 E. University Drive, Denton, TX 76209.
