Mrs. Liston Dies in Roswell Home
Mrs. Mary Lou Liston, 89, 1100 N. Missouri, stepmother of Jeff Liston, county assessor, died at 7:15 am today in her home.
She had lived in Roswell since 1927 and been in failing health the last 2 years.
A native of Mississippi, she was born in the Magnolia State on December 20, 1868, grew up in Waco and East Texas.
Mrs. Liston was thrice married, first in 1883 to Mr. Crunk in East, Texas; to Archibald T Boykin, in 1908 in Waco. Mr. Boykin died in June, 1926; to Henry G. Liston in Portales, NM December 1936.
Survivors are a son, stepson, four stepdaughters, nine grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren, 10 great great grandchildren.
The son is Fred Crunk, Priest River, Idaho, and stepson, Jeff Liston, Roswell.
Stepdaughters, Mrs. W. T. Smith of Roswell, Mrs. Emma Anderson of Plainview and Mrs. Tom Harris of Poolville, Tex. and Mrs. Houston Harris who resides in Oklahoma.
Mrs. Liston was a member of North Hill Church of Christ.
Arrangements are pending at Ballard Funeral Home.
