Steven Elish, 51, of Eighty-Four RD 1, died unexpectedly at 8:30 p.m., Tuesday, March 2, 1970, shortly after being admitted to Washington Hospital.
He was born in Norton, W. Va., November 27, 1919, a son of Anton and Mary Elish. He had resided in the Eighty Four area the past 15 years and was formerly of Canonsburg.
Mr. Elish was owner and president of the Elish Cabinet Company, Inc., Eighty Four.
A veteran of World War II, he served as master sergeant in the Air Corps. He also served in the Army Intelligence Corps.
Mr. Elish was graduated from Wayne University and earned a bachelor's degree in psychology from The Pennsylvania State University and a master's degree in psychology from the University of Pittsburgh.
Surviving are his wife, Laura Sickles Elish; three children, James A., Melinda and Steven Jr., all at home; five brothers, Frank, Victor and Peter Elish, all of Canonsburg, Anthony of Tucson, Ariz., and John Elish, Chicago, Ill.; four sisters, Miss Rose Elish, Canonsburg, Elsie, wife of Jack Roseman, Canonsburg, Mrs. Margaret Glein, Bucks County, and Mrs. Josephine Gross, Wellington, N.C.
