A. T. Thorson Dies Suddenly at Home Monday Evening

A. T. Thorson, Rt. 1, prominent Nevada farmer, died suddenly Monday at 6:45 p.m. at his home southeast of town.

Thorson, 59, was in the barn milking when he was stricken with a coronary thrombosis.

The son of Thor and Sarah Thorson, he was born March 14, 1901 in Story County. He was married to Mildred Scott December 24, 1927 in Des Moines.

Thorson was a member of the Nevada Methodist Church and of the Nevada Masonic Lodge A.F. & A. M.

He is survived by his wife, Mildred, one son, Theodore of the home; a daughter, Mrs. Robert (Janyce) Calhoun of Waterloo; two brothers, Eric Thorsonof Cambridge, and Art Thorson of Van Nuys, Calif.; and three sisters, Mrs. Mabel Benson and Mrs. Harold Alsager, both of Radcliffe, and Mrs. Harry Jacobson of Slayton, Minn.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother and one sister.

The body is at the Ryan Funeral Home and funeral arrangements are pending.
