BLAINE RESIDENT SUCCUMBS THURSDAY

Martin Thomas Loban, 66, died last Thursday, July 11, at his home near Blaine in eastern Tillamook county.

Mr. Loban was a native of Iowa, born October 22, 1873, and came to Oregon with his parents at the age of six. In 1894 he married Annie Vesta Hudson, who survives, together with four daughters and one son, Mrs. Mildred Hahn, Enterprise; Mrs. Ruth Stebbins, Sheridan; Mrs. Ivah Browning and Mrs. Vesta Lapin, both of Blaine, and Wilber Loban, Booth. Another son died several years ago. One sister, Mrs. Agnes Miller, Grants Pass, and six brothers, Bert and Ward of Dallas [Oregon], Earl and Ted of Wolf Creek, Roy of Carlton and Andrew Loban of McMinnville also survive.

Funeral services were held at McMinnville Funeral home Monday afternoon, Rev. L.O. Griffith officiating. The Yamhill county cooperative funeral association had charge of arrangements.

No record of his interment was found in the Methodist Church cemetery record, but that file is known to be incomplete. Or this may be a memorial to the family. Plaque erected in 1991.
