MRS. JENNIE CARLSON RITES ARE SATUDAY
Funeral services for Mrs. Jennie A. Carlson, 81, resident of Red Oak the past 11 years and before that a Page County resident 48 years, will be held at 2:30 Saturday, May 5, at the Bethlehem Lutheran Church here following a 2 p.m. prayer service at the home, 309 W. Coolbaugh Street.
She died this morning at Murphy Memorial Hospital. Arrangements are in charge of the Perryman-Nelson Chapel
The Rev. Kenneth Ebb and the Rev. John Maze, both of Essex, will officiate and burial will be in the Essex Cemetery.
Music will be by Glen Anderson, soloist, with Mrs. Effie Fridolph at the organ. Floral committee members are Mr. and Mrs. Warner Sederburg and Mr. and Mrs. Reul Abraham. Bearers are Alex Carlson, Raymond Carlson, Clarence Hagstrom, Carl Hagstrom, Wallage Hagstrom, Dale Barton. Honorary bearers are Arthur Magneson, Lloyd Smith, Claus Abraham, Sam Swanson, John Anderson, Dr. W. S. Edmund.
The daughter of Carl J. and Elsie Carlson, she was born July 18, 1874, at Scarsdale, New York and was married in 1893 at Ithaca, Nebraska to John Edward Carlson, who died last February 4. She was a member of the Bethlehem Lutheran Church here.
She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Clarence Carlson of Red Oak; son, Glen Carlson of Essex; 5 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren ; brother, A. V. Carlson of Lincoln, Nebraska; two sisters, Mrs. Gust Hagstrom of Wahoo, Nebraska and Mrs. Hazel Pearson, Lincoln, Nebraska.
