MARION - Services will be Saturday at the Christian Church here for Mrs. Faye M. Allen, 72, Marion, who died Wednesday at a Marion hospital. She was born June 16, 1905 in Chase County and lived at Marion most of her life.
She edited the Marion County Transcript, a financial newspaper. She was a member of the Christian Church at Marion.
She was married to O.J. Allen. He survives. Other survivors include a son, Fred D. Allen, Topeka; a daughter, Mrs. Nancy Faye Scandone, Fort Walton Beach, Fla.; 2 sisters, Mrs. Rufus Bateman, Marion, and Mrs. A.L. Reh, Scottsdale, Ariz.; 6 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
Burial will be in Marion Cemetery. Thompson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
