Juanita J. Decker of 1211 Nevada St. died Saturday, March 13, 1993. She was 78.


A service will be held at 2 pm Wednesday at her daughter's home. Her grandson, the Rev. Morrison Fisher, will officiate. Her ashes will be buried in the family plot at Woodlawn Cemetery.


She was born March 14, 1914, in Port Angeles. Her family moved to Bellingham when she was 2. She lived in Whatcom County ever since.


Mrs. Decker was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of Washington State Rural Letter Carriers Association, serving as the state chapter's secretary, treasurer and president. She worked for many years in the food industry, at Hillview Dairy and at the Elks Club.


Mrs. Decker and husband Arnold H. Decker also built and ran Sunshine Center Laundry and Dry Cleaners in Bellingham Mall.


Mr. Decker died in December 1990.


Survivors include daughter Arnita Sams of Bellingham; sons Allen Decker of Alaska and Stephen Decker of Ariel, Wash; nine grandchildren; and 17 great grandchildren.
